Contract manufacturing for brands & IP owners

Custom Resin Statue Manufacturing

ITTAK manufactures resin statues for collectible brands and IP projects. Start with the sculpt and display intent, then agree the casting material, component structure, finishing and approval plan.

Product & service scope

Resin is a broad material description, not a single formula or a guarantee of strength, flexibility or finish. A cast resin statue also differs from a resin 3D-printed development sample. Specify the intended production material and process when comparing quotes.

Plan the specification

What to review before the quotation

Use these review topics to define the actual project. Specifications, processes, quantities, cost, timing and evaluation methods are agreed individually.

01

From master to production parts

Identify the approved source of the sculpt and which details must be retained. Review the condition of any physical master, the current 3D data and the proposed separation into cast parts. Confirm who approves changes that affect the original artwork.

02

Casting and material definition

Discuss the proposed resin, fillers where relevant, surface expectations and the requirements of thin or projecting features. Product-specific casting and finishing decisions should be recorded in the scope. The word resin alone is not a useful substitute for an approved specification.

03

Connections and display base

Map component alignment, attachment points and the base. Review how separate elements are supported and whether accessories are fixed or customer-installed. Plan inspection around the assembled display, not only the appearance of separate castings.

04

Edition consistency and packaging

For a multi-unit collectible project, define the approved paint reference and how differences are evaluated. If numbering, certificates or multiple editions are required, include them explicitly in the brief. Protect delicate pieces and clarify the unpacking and assembly sequence.

Start with what you know

Prepare your project brief

You do not need every answer before the first conversation. Mark unknowns so confirmed requirements are separated from engineering decisions still to make.

  • Sculpt references, dimensions and current master or 3D data
  • Intended production resin or material expectations, if known
  • Part breakdown, base and removable components
  • Paint references, textures and any edition-specific details
  • Sample approval, acceptance and packaging requirements
  • Quantity range, destination markets and target timing

Before sharing designs

Begin with a non-confidential overview

Ask about an NDA and an appropriate transfer method before sending unreleased files. Identify the brand or character rights and the permission to use supplied artwork for manufacture.

Tell us whether you need product manufacturing or a mold-only project. We welcome worldwide inquiries, including English-speaking markets and Japan.

Buyer questions

Before you commission the project

Is a resin print the same as a cast production statue?

No. A printed development sample and a cast production part can differ in material and process. Confirm what the sample demonstrates and which production-material checks remain necessary before approval.

What if I have not selected a resin formulation?

Share the visual, structural, handling and display requirements you know. Material selection can be part of the project discussion, with the proposed specification confirmed before production rather than invented from a category name.

Should I request resin or polystone manufacturing?

Either is a useful starting point if you explain the intended result. Polystone commonly falls within the wider resin-composite family. When you are unsure, describe the desired finish, weight, geometry and display requirements and compare the actual proposed specifications.

Do you publish a fixed minimum quantity or lead time?

Not for every resin statue. Sculpt readiness, construction, finishing, quantity and approvals affect the scope. Provide a quantity range and schedule target so these can be evaluated for your project.

Public portfolio scope

Broader services, permission-based project galleries

Our current public galleries show authorized KAIYODO / ARTPLA plastic model-kit projects. Those images are not reused as evidence for other product categories or processes. Relevant information may be shared only within client permissions and confidentiality requirements.
