Custom Polystone Statue Manufacturing

ITTAK manufactures polystone figures and statues for collectible projects. Define the sculpt, display format and material expectations, then review casting scope, finishing, assembly and transport protection.

Product & service scope

Polystone generally describes a resin-based material containing a stone or mineral filler. It therefore overlaps with the wider resin category; the name alone is not a complete material specification. Confirm the proposed composition and relevant properties for the actual product rather than assuming a universal recipe.

Plan the specification

What to review before the quotation

Use these review topics to define the actual project. Specifications, processes, quantities, cost, timing and evaluation methods are agreed individually.

01

Sculpt scale and segmentation

Share the display dimensions and mark delicate, projecting or visually critical features. Review where the sculpture divides for molding, finishing, assembly and packing. A continuous digital sculpt may need a different physical part structure.

02

Material and support requirements

Discuss the intended feel, weight and support strategy with the geometry. Agree which parts, base and attachments use which materials. A polystone label should not substitute for reviewing the actual design, representative sample and conditions of display.

03

Surface and paint approval

Define visible seams, surface preparation, color boundaries, textures and finish references. Identify the views that will be used for sample review. Paint complexity and separate elements should be included in the scope before comparing production quotations.

04

Assembly and shipping protection

Map the connections and any customer-installed parts, then identify areas that should not carry packing loads. Review the support within the package, accessory separation and unpacking sequence. Any transport evaluation and its acceptance criteria must be agreed for the project.

Start with what you know

Prepare your project brief

You do not need every answer before the first conversation. Mark unknowns so confirmed requirements are separated from engineering decisions still to make.

  • Sculpt views, scale, overall size and intended display
  • 3D files or master status and proposed part breakdown
  • Material expectations, base structure and any weight constraints
  • Paint and texture references with visual priorities
  • Removable parts, assembly instructions and packing expectations
  • Quantity range, destination markets and delivery target

Before sharing designs

Begin with a non-confidential overview

Ask about an NDA and an appropriate transfer method before sending unreleased files. Identify the brand or character rights and the permission to use supplied artwork for manufacture.

Tell us whether you need product manufacturing or a mold-only project. We welcome worldwide inquiries, including English-speaking markets and Japan.

Buyer questions

Before you commission the project

Are polystone and resin completely different materials?

Not necessarily. Polystone is commonly a resin-based composite with stone or mineral filler. A procurement brief should identify the actual formulation and product requirements instead of relying on category names to describe performance.

Do you offer polystone figures as well as statues?

Yes, both are within ITTAK's manufacturing scope. Describe the size, pose, detail and intended presentation so the product-specific manufacturing and finishing requirements can be reviewed.

Does a larger statue automatically need a particular construction?

No fixed construction is promised from the size label alone. Geometry, support, weight, part connections and packaging must be reviewed together. The agreed production plan should state the actual materials and construction.

Are the public KAIYODO images polystone examples?

No. The authorized public KAIYODO / ARTPLA galleries show plastic model-kit projects. They are not presented as polystone manufacturing evidence. Relevant project information is subject to client permission and confidentiality.

Public portfolio scope

Broader services, permission-based project galleries

Our current public galleries show authorized KAIYODO / ARTPLA plastic model-kit projects. Those images are not reused as evidence for other product categories or processes. Relevant information may be shared only within client permissions and confidentiality requirements.

Sideshow: collectible material terminology

A collectible manufacturer's material glossary supports the general polystone terminology. It does not specify ITTAK's formulation or prove ITTAK project performance.
