1. Can the supplier define your product correctly?
A user-assembled plastic model kit is not the same as a finished figurine or an articulated action figure. Ask the supplier to explain how the intended assembly, part interfaces, visible surfaces and product delivery format influence the manufacturing plan.
2. How are engineering questions separated from confirmed requirements?
A credible review should identify what is known, what is assumed and what needs engineering validation. Watch for fixed answers given before the supplier has reviewed the design, materials, quantity plan and finish.
3. Is tooling connected to the product team?
Ask how approved component data moves into mold engineering, construction, trial output, revisions and customer approval. The handoff matters as much as the tool itself.
4. What production steps are actually in scope?
Clarify whether the supplier is being asked to support molding only or a broader scope that includes spray painting, Tampo Print, assembly, instructions or packaging. Every requested output should have an owner and approval method.
5. How will quality criteria be defined?
Do not accept an undefined “high quality” claim. Discuss drawings, fit, visible surfaces, color, finish, assembly, packaging and the testing or documentation required for the target market.
6. What evidence can the supplier show?

7. How is unreleased IP protected?

MOQ, cost and timing depend on design maturity, tooling, materials, finishing, assembly, packaging, quantity and approvals. A supplier should explain the factors behind the estimate rather than promise universal numbers.
